How Billing Works
| First charge | ₹1, taken today, which sets up the autopay mandate and unlocks premium for 1 day |
|---|---|
| Then | ₹999 per month, debited automatically. The first ₹999 debit happens 1 day after you subscribe, when the trial day ends. |
| Billing frequency | Monthly (every 30 days) after the trial day |
| Maximum debit per transaction | ₹999 — we can never charge more than this |
| Payment methods | UPI AutoPay, Debit / Credit card standing instruction, e-NACH |
| Mandate validity | Up to 12 months, or until you cancel |
| Pre-debit notification | Sent at least 24 hours before each automatic debit, as required by RBI |
| Payment processor | Cashfree Payments (RBI-authorised payment aggregator) |
| Activation time | Immediately after payment confirmation, usually within 2-5 minutes |
| Cancellation | Anytime from Settings → Subscription, your UPI app, or by email |
How the ₹1 offer works: The ₹1 is an introductory charge for your first day. It is not a free trial — paying it also authorises an autopay mandate for ₹999 per month.
If you do nothing, ₹999 will be debited automatically one day later and then every month after that, until you cancel. You will receive a notification at least 24 hours before each debit, and you can cancel the mandate at any time — no questions asked, no cancellation fee.
To pay only ₹1: cancel from Settings → Subscription before the trial day ends, and no further amount will be taken.
Cancelling
Cancel from Settings → Subscription in the app, from the mandate list in your UPI or banking application, or by emailing contact@tadkachat.in. After cancelling, no further amounts are debited and your premium access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period starts, but we do refund duplicate charges, payments where the service was not activated, and charges taken after cancellation. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
